Sri. Basvaraj Srinivas has made a measurable impact over the past 30 years as a passionate advocate for social service to Famers, Uniformed services, and youth empowerment.

As I know, the Basavaraj Srinivas Service Front (BSSF) started its journey in the year 2008 with an intention to serve the poor and needy. On 25 March 2020, he has started uninterrupted service, when the global pandemic brought unprecedented misfortune to the common man. With sheer determination and dedication, he started focusing on helping the needy and frontline warriors like police personnel, doctors and medical staff, GHMC staff, press and media personnel and all those who risked their lives during pandemic, by distribution of daily essentials. I have seen him spending lakhs of rupees from his own funds and helping the needy.

Under BSSF organization there are 1,13,000 volunteers and it is committed to reach the target of 1 crore members. During Pandemic under the aegis of Sri Srinivas, the BSSF organization has organized 2500 programs and distributed more than 55 lakhs masks,45000 grocery kits, 30000 cooked food packets,12 lakhs Homeo Preventive Medicine distribution(NFW), 5000 pairs clothes, 500 Footwear, juice and water bottles for Orphanages. They have organized Covid Helpline with more than 12 services during entire 2nd wave, thousands of blood/platelet/plasma donor emergency coordination &; arrangements. Besides BSSF, Sri Srinivas has worked with with various renowned NGOs like Janahitha, Rakthadaan, Saksham, Seva Bharathi, No Food Waste, Project Subhiksha and Yuga Thulasi. He also provided Monetary Contributions to PM CARES, Seva Bharathi, Ekalavya Foundation and many more victims who were critically ill and were admitted to Hospitals.

BSSF has also organised charity & support programs to poor and needy during Covid 19, Pandemic continuously without any interruption in all districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

With a sheer commitment and dedication, Sri Basavaraj Srinivas has developed an entrenched network of 1,12,863 members for BSSF across southern part of India and organized more than 2000 service activities and programs.

The BSSF, in association with NFW (No Food Waste) had donated old and new clothes to 5200 orphans and homeless victims and also provided new footwear to 520 girls who are residing in orphan homes.

During Covid Pandemic critical times, the BSSF has distributed Corona Preventive Homeo Medicines including Arsenic Album 30 with 11,66,831 + Dosages.

The mission of Basavaraj Srinivas is to primarily support farmers, armed forces, and youth. Keeping this in view, the BSSF has collaborated with various renowned NGOs in order to expand the humanitarian services across India. Since two decades, the BSSF has chequered history of organizing social work. Since 1996 to till date, the BSSF has planted more than 10,000 saplings across the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State. Since 2008, the BSSF undertook the construction of bathrooms in Government Schools in rural areas. It has also conducted regular blood donation camps, in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Soceity, Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust & Rakthadaan Seva Trust. To its credit, the BSSF headed by Basavaraj Srinivas has received National Culture Festival Award-2022 given by Ministry of Culture, Government of India 4; Mask man of India-2021 given by HMTV; Received Dr Ambedkar excellence award given by Megacity Nava kala Vedika. As I am aware that Sri Basavaraj Srinivas has immensely contributed to the various sections of the society. SUPPORTING FARMERS;

Sri Basavaraj Srinivas has worked towards enabling farmers in a holistic manner and supporting and guiding them comprehensively to bring in smiles on their faces which have been long dried up. He has given financial and emotional support to more than 10000 farmer families in clearing their debts otherwise they would have committed suicide, leading to devastating situation in the state.

PROUD SUPPORT TO OUR ARMED FORCES;
Sri Basavaraj Srinivas has supported Ex-servicemen and their families during pandemic with healthcare assistance and protecting their lands from encroachment.

SUPPORTING THE TRIBAL COMMUNITY;
Sri Basavaraj Srinivas has helped marginalised sections of the society to be self-reliant, beginning with Tribal communities in Adilabad district he supported more than 900 tribal families by donating grocery kits, face masks, Homoeopathy preventive medicine, rice bags, clothes and footwear, classroom boards with furniture. He is also serving as Treasurer for Ekalavya foundation (Serving in the fields of Education, Health, Livelihoods and Agriculture activities for tribals in AP and Telangana).

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT;
Sri Basavarj Srinivas has guided the Youth in rural areas and inspired them to care for society. He has stopped farmer suicide in villages and the youth got inspired to protect them in their region. During pandemic times he has distributed 8,00,000 face masks to youth.

CULTURAL EMANCIPATION;
Sri Basavaraj Srinivas has been supporting Go Seva trusts and donated raw material like granite and financial donation to lot of temples across AP and Telangana and empowered Veda patshalas, priests to propagate Indian culture to future generations.

COMMITTED to SOCIETY
Standing for each other irrespective of the social order is the true ‘Vasudaika Kutumbakam’ that BSSF strives to achieve. He supported Various orphanages, old age homes, homeless shelters (Amma Nanna orphanage, Telangana’s biggest mentally challenged home is one among them) during pandemic with face masks, grocery kits, homoeopathy preventive medicine, clothes and footwear, 11,000 juice packets, dental kits, medical kits. Besides that BSSF has organized Eye donation pledge done with hundreds of donors for SAKSHAM NGO. The BSSF has conducted “Talk with an Expert” online program during 2nd lock down with 10 renowned doctors with expertise in different specialities. It has continued uninterrupted Covid relief services and mask distribution to 800 government aided schools across AP and Telangana.

Sri. Basavaraj Srinivas has inspired people across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by serving the needy during pandemic and continued his services without interruption. His initiative to serve everyone and share these learnings with the 1,12,863 volunteers of BSSF has left a lasting, sustainable legacy within the states and the community at large.

His humanitarian service has boundless impact, especially among the downtrodden and subalterns of the society. The Covid relief work and the his contribution to the farming community is immeasurable. The Government of India should seriously consider his candidature for the Padma Sri award. By considering his considering, the Government will send an inspiring message to all social workers across the nation.
